Separating from your partner has many challenges, but when they are children involved these challenges multiply. The truth is about half of American children will experience their parents divorce (Copen, Daniels, Vespa, & Mosher, 2012) Research shows that parents who are able to effectively cooperate as co-parents are vital to children’s well being, but how exactly do you do that? (Adamsons & Pasley, 2005; Pruett, 2007). As parents, you are constantly told what not to. "Don't let your kids hear you arguing; Don't bring your kids into the middle of your conflict; Don't talk down about each other to your kids" Isn't it about time we squash that and talk about what to do?
In this 50 minute class, Samantha McCall, LMFTA, will teach you how to create better communication patterns with your ex and be more purposeful parents to your child(ren).
