Meet Mary Chalk
Helping you feel seen, safe, and supported—just as you are.
Hi, I’m Mary. I became a therapist because I know what it’s like to live through hard things—and to heal from them. I lost my dad at a young age and grew up in a blended family, which shaped my deep understanding of grief, identity, and the complexities of family dynamics. These early life experiences inspired my passion for supporting others through their own journeys of healing, connection, and growth.
In therapy, I bring empathy, authenticity, and gentle guidance. Whether you’re an individual navigating anxiety, trauma, or identity questions—or a couple trying to reconnect—I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion and curiosity. I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel seen and heard.
I specialize in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help people work through trauma, anxiety, and emotional pain. I also draw from Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) when working with couples, helping them move through disconnection toward deeper intimacy and understanding.
I’m especially passionate about supporting neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD or on the autism spectrum. I’ll meet you where you are—honoring your unique brain, strengths, and story.
When I’m not in session, you can find me painting, sewing, baking (often with flour in my hair), or curled up with my rescue pets and a good book. I'm a big believer in creative expression and laughter as healing tools.
If you’re ready to feel more connected to yourself and the people you love, I’d be honored to support you.
If you’d like to schedule an initial appointment with me, please feel free to book your appointment online or call us at 919-551-7222.
