I’m Andrew Orchowsky, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I earned my Master of Science in Counseling with a concentration in Couples and Family Counseling from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

I provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy to adults both in-person and via telehealth. I specialize in working with couples and families and have completed the Levels One and Two trainings in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy, which guides much of my approach to relationship counseling. I also incorporate Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy in my work with relationships and systems.

I am fluent in both Spanish and English, which allows me to connect with a diverse range of clients. I use evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients work through a variety of mental health conditions and general life concerns. I have specific experience working with clients and relationships experiencing: anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, trauma, self-esteem, and sexual dysfunctions.

In addition to my clinical work, I have a background in leadership and advocacy. I served as president of Guilford College Pride for four years and have mentored LGBTQ+ youth as a coordinator for YouthSafe in Greensboro, NC. I am passionate about creating safe, supportive spaces for LGBTQ+ clients and I’m committed to helping individuals, couples, and families build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
