Meet Andrew Orchowsky, LCMHCA.
Hi, I’m Andrew Orchowsky, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I work with adults, couples, and families both in-person and virtually, and I specialize in helping people strengthen their relationships—whether that’s navigating conflict, rebuilding trust, or deepening emotional connection.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years in leadership and advocacy roles, which shaped my understanding of how people grow through challenge, connect through vulnerability, and build lasting change. I bring that same real-world experience into the therapy room—alongside advanced clinical training—to support you with both compassion and clarity.
I’ve completed Level 1 and 2 trainings in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy and integrate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help couples and families understand their patterns and create new, healthier ways of relating. I also draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to support healing around anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and sexual concerns.I have specific experience working with individuals and couples impacted by substance use disorders, helping them rebuild trust, communication, and emotional safety within their relationships.
I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, and I work with a wide range of clients from diverse backgrounds—including the LGBTQ+ community, where I’ve served as both a leader and mentor. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel seen, safe, and genuinely understood.
If you're looking for someone who combines clinical insight with a grounded, human approach to relationships—I’d be honored to work with you. You can book your first appointment online or call our office at 919-551-7222.
