Hi, I’m Carole Cullen, LMFT
Relationship therapist, founder of My-Therapist, Inc., and passionate believer in lasting love.
I became a therapist because I know firsthand how complex, beautiful, and challenging relationships can be. I recently lost my mother and am currently caring for our aging parents while raising a family—life experiences that continue to deepen my empathy for the people I work with. Earlier in my career, I served as a mental health first responder after 9/11, supporting first responders and families through trauma and loss.
I also know the work of relationships from the inside out—because I’m doing it, too. I’m constantly learning how to be a better partner in my own marriage, and that personal growth fuels my compassion and commitment to the couples I work with.
At My-Therapist, I specialize in helping couples rebuild connection and trust—even in moments of crisis. With over 25 years of experience, I use research-based approaches like the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to support couples through traditional therapy and Couples Therapy Intensives—1- to 3-day deep-dive sessions that can create meaningful, lasting change.
I also co-lead The Art & Science of Love couples workshop in Asheville and Raleigh, where I love teaching practical tools that help couples grow, heal, and thrive.
When I’m not working with couples, I’m a mom and wife—spending time at hockey games, the barn, in the garden or curled up watching Netflix with my family and our sweet therapy dog, Winston.
If you're ready to reconnect and grow in your relationship, I’d be honored to support you on that journey.
