I became a therapist because I know what it’s like to need one—and not find the right fit. As a kid, my family could have benefitted from a family therapist who truly saw the family as the client. We didn’t have that support, and it made an already difficult time even harder. That early experience shaped not only who I am, but why I do this work.

I’ve been a licensed clinician for over a decade, with a BA in Psychology from NC State and a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pfeiffer University. My background includes working in a medical setting—supporting loved ones of those facing chronic illness—as well as in higher levels of care with people navigating depression, anxiety, suicidality, and trauma. I’m also comfortable working with those who have a history of substance use or self-harm.

I bring both clinical experience and lived experience into the room. I’ve been married, divorced, and remarried. I've been a step-parent, and a biological parent. I understand how layered relationships can be because I live those layers myself—and I believe that real-world insight helps me better connect with the people I serve.

At the core of my work is the belief that the relationship is the client.  Whether you're looking to reconnect, repair, or simply feel heard, my goal is to help guide you with clarity, honesty, and empathy. Therapy with me is grounded but relatable—I’ll meet you where you are and walk alongside you as we figure out what’s next.

When I’m not in session, I’m usually with my family or friends, binge watching the newest AppleTV series, or hanging out outside getting a moment of peace. I believe in the work of relationships because I’m doing it, too. Let’s work together to move toward the connection and clarity you’re looking for.
